Kate's 3rd Birthday

Kate's birthday celebration was at her home this year. A clown theme was followed from the cake to the clown who came and did face painting. There were a lot of kids there to help Kate celebrate her 3rd birthday...neighbors and cousins, grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles. Also, friends from Sugar Mill Chiropractic were there. It was very exciting for Kate and she had a wonderful time. I think you can tell by the last photo that Kate was totally worn out by the time it was all over.

In the good old summertime

Carlee finally started pulling up. She didn't let go, but she could make her way from place to place by holding on. She also figured out that she could climb.

We went to the bay again in July and Virgie and Bo offered to take us for a boat ride. After putting on the swimsuits and slathering on sunscreen, the usual gathering of snacks, water, diaper bag and towels took place. Then, the adults got ready...more sunscreen, drinks, etc. Bo & Virgie called for us at the pier by the boathouse and we all climbed in and took our places. We had barely gotten out of the channel when Carlee fell asleep. Not too long after that, way before we had gotten across the bay, Kate was asleep. We made a couple of passes in front of the El Campo club, then headed back over to Port Alto. Kate woke up as we entered the channel. Well, I think you can tell we all enjoyed the boat ride, even if some of us snoozed.

Brent's Birthday

We gathered at the Bubela house to celebrate Brent's birthday...his 33rd...shhhh. Brent and Carolyn set up the slide and we all gathered to sing Happy Birthday and offer good wishes to him. We had a big meal of chicken spaghetti, salad, bread, snacks and birthday cake. Frank and Patsy, the Garners and Wayne and I were there. The Harps came a little later.

The waterslide was up and the kids did their climbing and sliding. Wayne got them to pose at the top so he could take a photo with his phone.
